Maison Pliester : much more than a chocolate shop
If you know us, it is probably for our chocolates. And we certainly won’t complain about that! But behind the counter and the gift boxes, there is another side to the house, less known to our everyday customers: we are also a tourist destination in our own right, welcoming visitors from all over the world.
A house open to the public since 1995
Our story began in 1986 with Chocolaterie Duval, which became Concept Chocolate in 2011, then Maison Pliester in 2026. As early as 1995, we opened our doors to the public to show how chocolate is made. Today, more than 18,000 visitors a year, from around thirty nationalities, come to meet us in Schaerbeek, in the heart of Brussels.
Visits, workshops, tastings: three ways to experience chocolate
The chocolate factory tour: we follow the entire process, from the cocoa bean to the finished chocolate, and understand why good chocolate does not happen by chance.
The workshop: we get hands-on. Moulding, filling, decorating: everyone leaves with their own creations.
The tasting: a moment to learn how to really taste, comparing origins, textures and balances. We also offer pairings: beer and chocolate, or wine and chocolate.
These formats can be combined and adapted to each group, with packages from €8 to €120 per person.
Groups from 2 to 100 people, and up to 500 at your location
A couple on a getaway, a family, a class, an international delegation: we welcome groups from 2 to 100 people at our premises. For larger events, we travel to you: up to 500 people, at another venue of your choice. In both cases, you have one single contact person, from the first exchange to the big day.
In your language
Our visits and workshops are offered in French and Dutch (our 2 languages of Brussels), in German, English, Spanish, Italian, and in other languages depending on requests. An easy way to welcome your customers or guests in their own language.
A partner for professionals
We work every day with:
- coach operators, for gourmet stops that fit into their itineraries;
- travel agencies and tour operators, looking for an authentic Belgian experience;
- companies, for seminars, events, team building or corporate gifts;
- event organisers and guides.
Our team speaks the language of logistics: schedules, access, coach reception, flexibility.
